Respiratory Protection

Key Features

Key Features Of Our
Respiratory Protection Range

FG Safety Respiratory Protection products are designed to help reduce worker exposure to dust, fumes, mists, airborne particles, gases and vapours encountered in industrial and occupational environments. Our range includes disposable respirators, N95/FFP respirators, reusable half- and full-face respirators, gas & vapour cartridges and respiratory accessories.

Respiratory protection should always be selected according to the workplace hazard, contaminant type, concentration, exposure level, oxygen availability and required protection factor. Proper fit is essential for tight-fitting respirators; filtering facepiece respirators protect against particles but not gases or vapours, and fit testing is required for tight-fitting respirators.

Certification applies to the specific product/model and configuration. The standards listed should be used as the applicable compliance references when selecting a product; actual certification should be verified against the manufacturer's certificate and test report.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A certified respirator is designed and tested to provide a defined level of respiratory protection when properly selected and fitted. Ordinary masks may not provide the same certified protection.

No. N95 filtering facepiece respirators are designed for particulate filtration, not gases or vapours.

They are different certification systems. N95 is a NIOSH classification, while FFP2 is an EN 149 classification. Their test methods and requirements are not identical.

Half-face respirators are commonly used where protection of the nose and mouth is required against specified particulate, gas or vapour hazards.

A full-face respirator can be selected when both respiratory protection and eye/face coverage are required, subject to the applicable hazard assessment.

No. Cartridges are contaminant-specific. The correct cartridge must be selected according to the chemical, concentration, exposure conditions and manufacturer's data.

Yes. Tight-fitting respirators depend on a proper facial seal. NIOSH states that fit testing is required for tight-fitting filtering facepiece respirators.

Yes. We supply bulk, industrial and project quantities for factories, EPC companies, contractors and distributors.

Yes. Applicable technical datasheets, test reports and certification documents can be provided for the selected product.

Selection should be based on contaminant type, concentration, exposure level, oxygen availability, required protection factor, fit and applicable standards. For complex or hazardous environments, selection should be carried out by a competent safety professional.
